- Oversee operations efficiency and standardization in the production lines.
- Directly responsible for the production and quality of the product, as well as line personnel.
- Analyze and evaluate process improvements in order to reduce defects and scrap and/or improve yields.
- Follow procedures established for each operation, and keep work areas organized and clean at all times.
- Participate and/or lead problem-solving processes, whether due to increasing trends on complaints, defects, scrap, or low productivity, among others.
- Monitors compliance within company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, or other regulations).
- Comply with all safety and health regulations for the position and the direct reports.
- Comply with all quality regulations for the position and the direct reports.
- Ensure compliance of the organization's management systems to guarantee effectiveness and adherence to established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3 -5+ years of experience minimum experience in the medical industry. 3 Years experience in a supervisory capacity
- Experience analyzing and presenting detailed or advanced metrics using tools
- Experience in internal and external audits regarding the Quality Management System
- Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead/influence peers and other functions towards organizational goals
- Desirable at least one certification-related or applicable to the medical industry. For example, CQE, 6Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt, lean coach, problem-solving techniques, etc.
- Flexible attitude and the ability to deal with changing assignments and priorities
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal
- Results and detail-oriented
- Ability to plan and manage time effectively
- Strong teamwork
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA and OSHA requirements, as a plus
- Intermediate level of English
