You will have the opportunity to discuss details in the interview.Boston Scientific is seeking an IT Manufacturing Application Manager to lead the development, implementation and optimization of IT enterprise applications supporting the manufacturing shop floor. This role bridges the gap between IT and production operations, ensuring our manufacturing platforms are robust, scalable and aligned with business goals.You’ll be part of the IT leadership supporting Global Supply Chain, in particular manufacturing and will collaborate with cross-functional teams from engineering and production to supply chain and IT to drive digital transformation, enhance system performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across the Boston Scientific manufacturing network.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Leadership: Manage and support core manufacturing applications (e.g. MES, Training, Equipment Management), ensuring high availability, performance and alignment with operational needsProject Management: Lead end-to-end development and implementation of new systems and upgrades, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, integration, testing and rolloutStakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutionsSystem Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, data accuracy and user experience through automation, customization and integrationVendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery, support and compliance with SLAsCompliance and Security: Ensure applications meet regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA, ISO) and follow cybersecurity best practicesTeam Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of developers, analysts and technical support staff, fostering a culture of innovation and accountabilityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in IT application management within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MES, preferably Siemens Opcenter COREExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc), system integration, data application architecture and process automationFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies or lean manufacturing conceptsExcellent communication, problem-solving and project management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentPreferred SkillsExperience of working in a regulated industry like Medical Devices or PharmaExperience with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, predictive maintenance, digital twins) and AIKnowledge of data platforms (like Snowflake)Software validation and automated testing methodologies and toolsCertifications in PMP, ITIL, or relevant technologiesMultinational or multi-site manufacturing experienceRequisition ID: 611022As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
