Avionyx Overview: Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service. Job Overview:The Technical Editor will work as part of Engineering Technical Publications and Configuration Management to ensure the quality of Joby documents. This Technical Editor will follow established processes to check Microsoft Word documents that are ready for formal release. They will communicate directly with document authors whenever questions arise. The Technical Editor will attend Engineering Technical Publications and Configuration Management meetings as needed. Responsibilities:Create Jira tickets for each pre-release check that comes in.Keep watch on the SharePoint location where documents set to Ready for Release appear.Use an Excel-based Pre-Release Checklist to review every Ready for Release document.Review 8-10 MS Word documents per day.Make fixes to MS Word documents that can be tricky and arcane.Communicate with authors, Doc Control, and Engineering Tech Pubs via Slack.Participate in Engineering Tech Pubs standups once per week. Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications
MS Word expert or power user
MS Excel
C1 or C2 English level in the Common European Framework
