Job Description:The Implementation Manager leads the practical execution of all projects and initiatives within the organization, assuming them after the strategic planning, and executing them on the ground, concentrating on turning ideas into operational reality. The primary responsibilities of an implementation manager are to introduce new systems, programs, and technologies into the organization. This role supports the ongoing needs of the business while ensuring best practices are implemented throughout the organization. Advocate continuous improvement methodologies and tools across the business and are responsible for facilitating project identification and implementation.
The job responsibilities include team management, cross-functional teamwork, creating work plans, mitigating risks, and ensuring each process works smoothly. Technical skills are essential as it may require participating in the design of programs or technology.
This role must be able to engage with all levels of operational teams, engineering, business process owners and management to implement processes to support business continuity and growth. Communicate formally and informally to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.Responsibilities:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and manage the implementation of new business initiatives end-to-end, maintaining communication throughout the project to meet expectations
- Project implementation, resource management, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. Actively working with the Project or Program Manager when one is leading the initiative
- Plan, lead, organize, and control multiple initiatives by the approved scope and schedule
- Serve as the first-line decision maker for the business including developing ramp-up plans and schedules that meet requirements while also identifying risks and developing mitigation plans working closely with project managers
- Implement complex systems and solutions in support of organizational objectives
- Form initial scope assessments, define work plans and roadmaps, and oversee groups executing implementation plans
- Liaise between departmental stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment of all systems implementation. Communicate formally and informally to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Translate business requirements into a robust, scalable design and drive proper change control through the life cycle of the project
- Provide day-to-day direction to cross-functional implementation support teams and best practices to deploying the initiatives within the business environment
- Sign off on and test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Understanding of Operational Excellence, Work Force Optimization, and Performance Coaching & Observation principles
- Ensure a smooth transition to operations post-go-live and ramp-up. Monitor systems past roll out and create reports detailing insights and potential improvements for future initiatives. Actively working with the organization's Business Analysts.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Project execution abilities, which encompasses planning, execution, and control, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and within the expectations
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into customer solutions
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Quickly become a product expert and trusted advisor
- Effective resource management to optimize project outcomes
- Stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining relationships with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners, fostering alignment and collaboration throughout the implementation process
- Identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success
- Quality assurance, ensuring that solutions adhere to predefined quality standards and performance benchmarks.
- Change management, guiding employees through the organizational and cultural shifts brought about by implementations
- Performance monitoring and reporting for maintaining transparency and alignment with project goals, while effective problem-solving is crucial to address any challenges that may arise
- Staying updated on emerging opportunities and evaluating their relevance to the organization's strategy is key to staying competitive
- Degree in Business Management or Project/Program Management, or equivalent years of experience, of which at least 3 years was directly working experience on practical execution
