[Timely delivery of DHL packages around the globe in a way that ensures customer data are secure is in the core of what we do. You will provide second level day-to-day operations support for all Middleware technologies (AMQ Streams, Confluent Kafka, Weblogic Application Server, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Tomcat, IIS, SFTP, Jboss, Apache) virtualization platform and infrastructure operations that underpin the delivery of business solutions. You will help investigate and resolve incidents, which were not resolved in lower support levels. Sometimes, issues might get tricky and this is where cooperation on troubleshooting with other IT support teams and specialists will come into play. You will also work with product vendors for incident escalation, bug and security fixes. Tasks would also involve implementation of changes via Change Management system.Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
As a Senior System Support Specialist, having profiency in Kafka (AMQ Streams, Confluent Kafka) is a requirement. Very good knowledge of Web and Messaging products will also be an integral part of this role.You are a Infrastructure aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of different OS platforms such as RedHat Linux, Windows and Openshift. Having scripting skills is also a good addition. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful. The team works on a Follow-The-Sun structure. You will also need to participate on a rotated oncall shift plan on weekends.Great Team

Gaining more hands-on experience with Middleware has always fascinated me, so I stayed, was given excellent technical opportunities and upskilling of skills and eventually worked through the company ladder and soon landed a Manager of Messaging role.
