**Job Description**:
The Senior Manager - Data Management (CIS Data Development) is responsible for overseeing the assessment, review and updating of data processing business rules, processes and procedures found within Experian Data Development specifically focused on transaction testing and process/system controls.
Overseeing the assessment of the execution of current processes and procedures from the Data Development Data Management and Analysis teams will also be expected.
This role will report to the Sr.
Director, Operations, and partner with others witin Data Development and CIS, such as the Product Managers, Sales Leaders, Development Managers, other Operations Managers, Governance and Documentation Manager and the Training and Support Specialist to recommend business rule changes, training needs, or the refinement of operational tasks.
To succeed in this role, you must be a proactive self-starter who can efficiently plan, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously all the while questioning past personnel practices and business configurations as still being valid within the current industry landscape.
You must enjoy managing a team, providing forward-thinking leadership, and working in a fast-paced culture with an ability to work independently and collaboratively to get the job done.
You must have strong relationship building skills, communication skills, and possess an ability to be createive while being attentive to details and following detailed project plans through to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and mentor a team of senior data management professionals up to and including fellow managers/supervisors
- Define and refine the best practices within the organization and existing teams
- Maintain and lead strategies aimed at exceeding established data management Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and evolving business initiatives
- Lead design and planning process with stakeholders to understand the scope, risks, and priorities regarding quality.
- Oversee quality and testing methodology and full life cycle of data processing from acquisition to integration to extraction
- Define approach and understand end to end process / data flow
- Sets strategy to optimize operational environment success that sets the foundation to executve on:
- Aggressively identify potential data quality issues
- Understand business and product needs
- Profile data; determine trends, patterns, inconsistencies; draw conclusions
- Pinpoint problematic spots in data and processes and initiate conversations with
- Experian staff or furnishers to validate settings based upon present reporting needs
- Identify business rule issues and communicate effectively in order to have quick
change turnaround
- Work closely with cross-functional development teams to help establish and
enforce data quality standards and documentation.
- Work on a consultative basis for new data sources and enhancement initiatives to
help ensure consistency and implementation of best practices
- Prepare and analyze data presentations for both internal and external use

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications and Skills**
- 5-8+ years of personnel management experience
- Strong knowledge of data management operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Ability to lead team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels
- Confident and energetic self-starter with good follow-through
