
Senior Financial Analyst - Engineering & PMO (Costa Rica)

- Serve as a trusted business partner to Engineering Operations and PMO leadership, supporting decision-making with financial and operational insights.
- Collaborate with Engineering and PMO leaders to develop and monitor project budgets, resource allocations, and capital expenditures.
- Facilitate regular reviews with stakeholders to assess performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Support workforce planning and cost optimization initiatives, including backfill strategies and skill development investments.
- Project & Program Support.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
- Analyze engineering spending, project costs, and resource utilization to identify trends and improvement areas for PMO and Engineering teams.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for engineering programs and PMO initiatives.
- Reporting & Compliance and ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Provide financial insights to support project prioritization and resource planning.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
- English Proficiency.
- 5+ years of experience in
- Financial analysis, preferably supporting engineering or project-based organizations.
- Strong understanding of capital planning, cost accounting, and project finance.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Financial modeling and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Data Analytics Tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate)
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and teams.
