Job Description:Huntsman is seeking a Demand Manager to support the Advanced Materials Division, based in San José, Costa Rica. This role will coordinate and lead demand management activities at the regional level, working closely with commercial teams to develop accurate forecasts and align demand with business growth plans and promotions. This position will report to the Global Demand & Supply Director.The Demand Manager plays a critical role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, acting as a key liaison between Commercial and Manufacturing teams. The role focuses on demand planning, cost-to-serve, inventory optimization, production alignment, and customer order fulfillment. A strong understanding of customer needs, product strategies, and business priorities is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrated Business Planning (IBP) – Demand ManagementLead demand planning activities across the region.Support Commercial and the Americas Leadership Team in analyzing demand evolution based on internal and external factors.Manage deviations from plan using MAPE/BIAS metrics; challenge input from Sales and Marketing through forums such as S&OE and IBP.Translate data into actionable insights in business systems.Serve as the primary interface between demand planning and business stakeholders.Provide plants with structured demand information to improve supply chain visibility.External Demand Insights & Scenario PlanningAnalyze and synthesize external factors (market, industry trends, customer behavior) to support demand forecasting.Use structured inputs to drive business simulations and scenario planning aimed at maximizing profitability.Guide the organization in advancing its demand management capabilities.Projects & Process StandardizationCollaborate with other regions and divisions to review and optimize demand and forecasting processes.Drive process standardization and best practices across sites.Support operational improvements in cost, working capital, and service levels.Core DeliverablesCentral point of contact for demand management across the region.Maintain high forecast accuracy and alignment with financial plans.Integrate growth plans, promotions, and new opportunities into the demand plan.Focus on actionable insights that influence business outcomes.Lead continuous improvement efforts through project work and cross-functional collaboration.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.5+ years of experience in Demand Management, S&OP/IBP, and material planning.Proven exposure to commercial operations.Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.APICS certification or equivalent experience.The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.Preferred Experience:Strong understanding of customer service levels and commercial priorities.Experience managing Supply Chain teams.Proficient in inventory management, cost-to-serve optimization, and process design.Solid project management skills and a process-oriented mindset.High data literacy and KPI-driven approach.Skills and Attributes:Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation abilities.Capable of team leadership and cross-functional mobilization.Analytical, data-driven decision-making.High proficiency in SAP, Excel, IBM PA, Power BI, or similar tools.Key CompetenciesPeople LeadershipBuilding Relationships and NetworkingDriving ResultsCustomer-Centric MindsetStrategic and Innovative ThinkingAdherence to Corporate ValuesChange Management and ImplementationOrganizational RelationshipsMember of the Commercial and Supply Chain Leadership Team.Close collaboration with Site Managers, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing.Partners with PMO to ensure alignment with standard practices and sustainability of implemented solutions.Special FeaturesLead service level implementation initiatives.Participate in business-critical projects.Maintain and update forecasting systems.Support supply chain operations including planning, warehousing, and distributionAdditional Locations:
