A company in the medical device industry located in El Coyol, Alajuela, is seeking a proactive and analytical professional with strong technical and communication skills to work directly with contract manufacturers involved in the production of catheters. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact healthcare solutions within a dynamic and regulated environment.Position Summary:
This role will work directly with contract manufacturers, providing engineering support to ensure compliance with quality standards, process optimization, and successful project execution.Key Responsibilities:

Properly document project deliverables in the company’s Quality Management System.
Design and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
Define sequences of operations and specifications for tools, equipment, and assembly procedures impacting product performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans.
Monitor equipment and tool performance at supplier sites and implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop manufacturing processes aligned with statistical process control principles.
Provide technical input to design teams to optimize manufacturability and equipment utilization.
Support product improvement initiatives related to risk management, test method validation, process validation, process control, supplier qualification, complaint and CAPA investigations, and continuous improvement.

Requirements2 to 4 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the medical device industry.English proficiency at B2 level or higher.Experience managing projects directly with suppliers is a plus.Project Management and/or Six Sigma certifications are considered an asset.Experience with Quality Management Systems such as Agile is desirable
