Come, join us on this journey!British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a R2R GL Transactional Finance Analyst in HerediaThe R2R Transactional Finance Sr Analyst will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, including account reconciliations and monthly closing. They will work closely with accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting and financial processes, contributing to the analysis and reporting of financial operations within the record-to-report cycle.Your key responsibilities will include:

Execute general ledger accounts reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
Perform analysis of balance sheet accounts ensuring accounts are accurate, any suspicious transaction must be investigated and escalated accordingly.
Perform month-end activities accurately ensuring period is closed as per agreed timetable and prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports as per agreed timeline to allow end markets review and analysis.
Provide support to audits applying controls effectively by mitigating risks and communicate with stakeholders by solving issues, providing guidance and promoting a customer-oriented culture.
Review and update task-level descriptions (if necessary) to maintain knowledge within the team.
Prepare and post journals ensuring business rules are aligned with end market requirements and process and maintain fixed assets module aligned with accounting standards and global policies.
Process daily bank statements and review line items that have been recorded correctly in bank accounts.

What are we looking for?

Student or graduated of Accounting or Accounting & Finance, or related field
At least 1 year of experience in R2R processes such as General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation & Fixed Assets.
Detail oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
English B2. (Portuguese is a plus).
Knowledge of tax reconciliations and compliance is a plus
