Serve as process lead for ER administration including the review of all US severance agreements and related paperwork
- United States Involuntary Terminations/Reduction in Force (RIF)/Severance Agreements
- Draft and review severance agreements and accompanying documents
- Draft and review complex or non-standard severance agreements and appendices and liaise with Legal and key stakeholders directly
- Draft and prepare master files for legal analysis of individual decisional units
- Draft and review Older Workers Benefit Protection Act Analysis (OWBPA)
- Serve as global point of contact with Business Planning for any severance accrual assignment
- Provide contact information for impacted population to Outplacement provider if applicable
- Serve as point of contact for any follow-up questions from terminated employees
- LATAM Involuntary /Reduction in Force (RIF)/Severance Agreements
- Offer support to LATAM lead regarding RIF involuntary termination activity
- Draft and review severance agreements and accompanying documents with external local counsel
- Coordinate with Payroll and external local counsel regarding severance calculations and payments
- Provide contact information for impacted population to Outplacement provider if applicable
- Serve as point of contact for any follow-up questions from terminated employees
- Function as project coordinator for Global RIFS/Reorgs:
- Maintain master list by tracking all changes (headcount, impacted population, etc.), providing weekly updates, and a final update on the day prior to the event to internal team and external counsel
- Coordinate logistics for the action, which includes:
- Maintaining the project plan
- Preparing the schedule
- Serve as point of contact for all participants (HR, LOB managers, Legal, etc.) on event day
- Compensation
- Work with Comp and Accounting regarding CTP bonus eligible and retiree eligible list
- Project management including creation of PowerPoint decks for various ER project work
- Serve as point of contact for metrics from the ER Casework system
- Run metrics as requested by ER and on a regularly scheduled basis
- Help with migration support for the ER casework system to Service Now as part of People Evolution
- Provide advice and expertise to management and HR Business Partners on performance management, disciplinary, grievance and informal investigatory matters.
- Provide guidance to managers about performance management issues, management conflicts and conduct informal investigations
- Partner with ER lead, Business Managers, Legal and People Business Partners to provide resolutions for escalated or complex issues and concerns.
Works with People Business Partners, as needed, to resource and resolve ER issues.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures and guidelines, working with HR Policies and Compliance function, including discipline, grievances and complaints.
- Ensure consistent execution of performance management, disciplinary, grievance and investigatory matters by monitoring and reviewing formal documentation requirements and strategies for responding to ER inquiries.
- Develop standard approach with the ER lead for managing complex, ambiguous, and/or escalated ER issues in the US.
- Determine when to escalate cases to the relevant HR Business Partner and ER lead.
- Offer support to LATAM lead regarding performance management activity
- Assist with ER reporting; analyse data, identify trends, work with the HRBP's and ER lead to recommend solutions.
- Bachelor's degree required.
MBA or Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Experience of more progressively responsible HR related experience.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse employee related issues, concerns, situations.
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
- Understand and know how to work in a matrixed model - both corporate, functional and geographic.
- Experience with dispersed workforce.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Strategic/critical thinker with business acumen.
- Solid project management background and experience with HR technologies.
- Excellent facilitation, public speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
