At Smith and Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The BRM R&D Clinical Systems is responsible for leading and driving adoption and value (cost, growth, revenue) by digitizing the business of clinical. They are the primary contact for the business of Clinical within R&D and is responsible for building business cases, prioritizing demand of new investments and initial requirements gathering. The leader will facilitate smooth communication for service requests and break fix resolution to meet R&D customer expectations alongside our Delivery organization and shared services. The BRM R&D Clinical Systems will also be assigned other task and vendor partners throughout the application management lifecycle to ensure R&D has the tools they need for Clinical Data and Clinical Evidence. The BRM is accountable to ensuring each tool and application is running and performing to satisfy R&D Clinical requirementsWhat will you be doing?Lead R&D and Clinical Strategic planning and demand shapingLead and develop 1 year and 5 year roadmaps of technology alongside our business partners.3rd Party Coordination: Lead discussions with all 3rd party partner/vendor future solutions to deliver the R&D Clinical roadmaps.Customer/Business Partner Coordination: Accountable for communicating to our clinical business partners.IT Partner/Stakeholder Coordination: When needed with our Global Service Delivery team to achieve resolution on problem management incidents.Demand Management: Ensure that all Demand and Project Management entries in ServiceNOW are correct and up to date for Demand Review and aligns with long term roadmaps for R&D Clinical.Change ticket leadership and problem management: This includes coordinating with stakeholders and determining accurate impact assessment of changes, and problems.Process Improvement and ControlsLead Process Control changes: Will be the point of contact for Clinical escalations from leadership.Process Improvement: Able to spot process improvement opportunity, record it, build a process and present it to stakeholders as proposal/recommendation.Training and knowledge sharing to new team membersWhat will you need to be successful?Education: Requires Bachelor's degree in Biology / Information Technology or an equivalent 6 years' experience in leading / managing a Level 2 & 3 R&D Systems support team for a medical device, life science or pharmaceutical industry.Licenses/ Certifications: -SAFe CertifiedAgile Alliance CertifiedTOGAF CertifiedITIL CertifiedAny of the ITSM FrameworksExperience: Minimum 6 years of IT work experience in leadingExperience in Clinical System tools such as Medidata, Veeva, Anaqua Idea Point, eTMF. Some experience in Software Development Lifecycle such as Jira, Jama, Atlassian Stack, Solidworks, Catia, Altium, Figma, DraftView, Mimics, Matlab, Siemens NX, CAD tools, SSL certificates and Document Management Systems.Experience in working and/or supporting application at a Medical Device, Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical field/industry.Successful candidates would need the following:Competences: Effective communication skill and proficiency in collaborating and hosting IT escalations/meetings while maintaining calm and focus even if under pressure.Knowledge and hands on experience in ITIL disciplinesKnowledge and hands on experience being accountable for Clinical and R&D Systems.Experience in working with business users, different IT verticals and 3rd party vendors.You.
