**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**
The Planning and Reporting Lead needs to have great analytical skills and challenge the status quo.
With a thorough understanding of core controllership processes, the Planning and Reporting Lead is responsible to lead the team to support America End market in their queries and strengthen the control environment and develop new initiatives across the P&R function for the America Market.
The role will combine good accounting knowledge with communication skills and solid forecast and planning knowledge.
**Reports to**:Planning and reporting Manager
**Reporting Level**:2 direct reports
**Geographic Scope**:Americas
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Review financial statements for actual/planning reporting and review and approve weekly/monthly reports.
- Coordinate Bi-Annual forecast planning cycles and financial reviews and coordinate Bi-Annual /half year/full year reporting cycles and financial reviews.
- Monitor performance and sensitivities on a monthly basis across all P&L lines for actuals, budget, latest forecasts and prior years for every end market
- Review and provide accurate and timely monthly variance data and root cause analysis for volume, revenue and cost of sales.
- Manage ad-hoc projects as required and engage with different stakeholders.
- Promote standardization, automation and simplification of processes which fall within the boundaries of the Planning & Reporting area.
- Ensure a controlled environment for the Planning & Reporting Team to prevent any potential control breaches.
- Support the Function ´s agenda to become a valued business partner and manage and lead team and provide coaching.
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**.
- Proven experience as a senior finance analyst or similar roles with at least 5 years of work experience.
- Working knowledge of accounting and planning software, such as SAP.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
- Rational decision making and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Must possess written and oral proficiency in English.
- A bachelor ´s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or related fields.
**BENEFICIAL**
- Experience in managing teams is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
